Just Great!

I got this about a month ago for my 12 year old son. He had Bushnell Powerview 12x25 Compact Folding Roof Prism Binoculars but they fell off the counter and broke into little tiny pieces. My son loves this a lot more, which is good because he looks at EVERY detail! This is what he said:

"These are very well built, made with metal and rubber (much better that plastic). That should mean It will servive a fall off the counter!

The zip zoom is very handy when watching birds. One thing I like a lot better than the Bushnells are that to zoom, the nob moves the inward sights (the ones you look into) rather than the outward sights. On the Bushnells the nob moves the outward sights. These peices of glass need a small amount of grease, which is nomal, but the grease will get dirty and hairy after a while. The Tascos have their greese stored INTERNALLY instead of externally, which meens it will look much better, if you care about that stuff (I do!).

The handholds are the perfic size, much better than the Bushnells. The Bushnells are very small and way to light, which will make you wabble a bit, which is not good when spying on a bird. The Tascos are a good size for my hand and they weigh just right.

The Tascos have a shocking amount of clarity. I can see the ticks on the neiborhood cat 20 feet away!"

My son loves it, and I've use it. This is a lot of binocular for the buck. I would recommend this to a friend anytime!

Excellent quality item

I bought these for my boyfriend as a gift and he loves them. We wanted a pair so that we could sit and watch the boats on the lake near our apartment, and these fit the bill. He likes the zip view which he says works really well for watching the birds fly across the water. I read up on binocs before I bought these, and I don't think you can beat the quality or price. Very well made and I highly recommend them. You won't be disappointed with this purchase!

en 2000 compre estos binoculares, aunque funcionan ya tiene las huellas del paso del tiempo y de tantas salidas. Me decid comprar un nuevo par y estoy muy satisfecho con estos binoculares, me parece que el diseo ha sido mejorado, el tamao es perfecto, el peso razonable, son compactos, ni tan grandes ni tan pequeos. Si eres una persona que utiliza binoculares casualmente este modelo te servira mucho. He disfrutado buenos momentos con estos binoculares en mis viajes. Los recomiendo.

For the money these are good general purpose binoculars. They focus easily and work well for people like me with eyeglasses.
