Excellent binoculars for a reasonable price. Good close focus for a wide range of viewing. Optics seem clear and well collminated.Built like a tank and fog/water proof. Good buy.

I didn't want a pair of low power binoculars as I plan to do a cruise out of Italy through the Eastern Met. If you have concerns about stability with the 16 power, I suggest a tripod because the unit comes with an adapter but, I bought one made by Nikon specifically for this model. The quality is excellent and the magnification is exactly what I wanted. I don't think you'll be disappointed with this product. I love it.

I am not an expert in optics (digital cameras, binoculars, etc) but I can make the difference between good quality and not so good quality. I believe that the Nikon Action 16x50 binoculars fit, by far, in the first category. I was still not sure if I made the right decision when I purchased these, since I red several cons along the multitude of pros. Some of them were shaky image (due to the high zoom), pretty heavy for long periods of watching. All I can say now is that they are true, but these things fade by far in comparison to what this baby has to offer. Namely stunning crystal clear and sharp image (even at the edges), extremely rugged and ergonomic construction, fogproof and waterproof.
All in all, I would give it 10 out of 10 in a heartbeat.
