rated 5 out of 5 Good Binoculars for a tripod.
by Dukevimes from Humble, TX., 2010-01-03

I wouldn't recomend these for a solitary hunter/naturalist with weight/bulk concerns; they are heavy. For everyone else, however, these are great binocs. Mine are mounted on a heavy duty tripod to make the view rock steady. I can see what type of fish they are catching off shore! They have a rubberized outside that makes them seem rugged, I don't know for sure- I hope never to drop them. On the whole, I would buy again if I had it to do over.

rated 3 out of 5 just okay

I'm no expert, first time owner, just not that happy, shakes too much when held. Maybe they all do it. The mount for the stand broke very easily, would not buy again.

rated 5 out of 5 I am very pleased with these binoculars
by Rene Perez from Miami, FL, 2009-05-05

I own a pair of these 10-30x 60 zoom binoculars and they have served me well in many situations. At low light the huge 60MM lens gave me more than enough brightness at 10 power. Even when Ii zoom all the way up to 30 power, the lenses were large enough to give me adequate light, however I can only use the higher powers in the day time. The binoculars came with a tripod and adapter that I have found really useful for getting steady images at the higher 30x power. By attaching the binoculars to the tripod really is the way to go from 15x or 20x on up. Normally, I would have had to buy the tripod and adapter but they actually came with the binoculars. The clarity and brightness at 10x was really nice, but like every other zoom binocular I've used in this price range, there is an expected slight dimming of the image when I zoomed in higher powers. The binoculars also came with a real nice, padded case with zipper pockets. Even the neck strap was very well padded and made carrying these large binoculars much more comfortable after time. Over all, I am very pleased with these binoculars. The kit included everything I needed to enjoy them at any power and there was really nothing more required to use them anytime of the day or night. The value was truly unexpected

rated 2 out of 5 Not as expected

This Binocular is useful between 10-15x but after that the image quality will come done too much, also it has shaded exit pupil due to improper prism material, which in turns will decrease light coming inside, and since the coating is only fully the brightness will not be maximized, and after 20x hardly you can enjoy the image. Comparing with skymaster 10x-70 , I recommend the skymaster one which is lower in price higher in quality and it has multicoated lenses, and no shaded exit pupil, but not zoomed one .
